Fú, Locar, ambos tenéis parte de razón, creo que es interesante conocer el punto de vista del creador de Accra, Gawain Robertson.
Os pongo su post, que a mí me ha parecido, igual de interesante:

As a shaft guy, I'd throw some thoughts into the mix....
10 Myths About Shafts
1. The shaft is the engine of the golf club
The shaft is an integral part of a golf club that delivers a head to the ball. As swings are so different, finding a shaft to deliver the head to the ball in an optimal fashion in critical. Shafts are designed using different profiles to optimize the delivery of the clubhead to impact with so many unique swings. Being fit to the correct profile of shaft to your swing increases the importance of the shaft.
2. The shaft is the most important component of the golf club
The shaft is an important part of the entire golf club, whether you are a Tour player or a discerning golfer, you have most likely been through a thorough driver "fitting". I'm certain the club fitter tested different heads, shafts and grips to find the optimal combination. To expand on that, I'm sure multiple shafts were tested using identical heads and different results were achieved!
3. The letter flex code on the shaft tells me how stiff the shaft is
Graphite shafts, specifically, have so many different profiles and flex points that a flex designation is basically useless.
4. The shaft is a key element for the amount of backspin imparted on a shot
As the shaft delivers a club head to the ball, the manner with which it delivers the clubhead will certainly effect spin rates. Shaft manufactures can develop shafts that will effect the way the club head is delivered based on specific types of swings. We consistently see spin rate affected with Tour players and many levels of golfers by adjusting shaft profiles all while using the same head. Is it the key element? no! is it important with regards to feel and "dialing" in the spin? yes!
5. How a shaft plays and performs for one golfer or group of golfers is important for other golfers to know to be able to make a proper shaft selection decision
All shafts react totally differently with each unique swing!
6. The more expensive a shaft, the better it is
There are many aspects to manufacturing a golf shaft. Two shafts that share similar weights, torque, profile, etc may still perform as differently as 2 42" TV's. For many the $400 TV is just fine, for others the $1,500 version better suits their needs. The strength/quality/integration/sourcing/manufacturing of materials and lay of the materials along with the R&D that goes into coming up with the design are very different between a $50 shaft and a very expensive shaft (usually!!!). Just as the "guts" of an expensive TV separate the quality to the discerning media guy. Feel and performance will usually separate shafts. But far more importantly than the price tag is the process of being properly fit!!!
7. The flex of the shaft has a very important effect on shot performance for all golfers
The "All golfers" part of this statement makes this a myth! Unless a swing is somewhat repeatable and the "release" is not very early...... a shaft cannot effectively alter an extremely poor swing. Lessons and a properly fit set of golf clubs will significantly benefit that golfer far more than any specific shaft. The term "flex" is also quite ambiguous..
8. The higher the clubhead speed of the golfer, the stiffer the shaft should be
There are so many variables that go into a proper club fitting.... clubhead speed is only one of many variables that effect shaft performance! To even attempt to assume a specific shaft will fit anyone base on clubhead speed is a mistake!
9. The right shaft adds distance by "kicking faster" through the ball
A correctly fit golf shaft will add to more solid contact.... this can certainly effect distance and accuracy. The concept of fitting is to find a shaft that recovers at the point of impact. Stability at impact is critical. Any shaft profile that creates solid impact for a specific swing will be different for other golfers as swings are so unique.
10. How a shaft performs for a golfer(s) is an indication of its quality
As mentioned before, quality may add some benefits to a discerning golfer, but the overall fit of the entire club and all the variables that go into that, is far more important! A shafts performance is totally limited to it's relationship with the rest of the club and how the overall specifications of the entire golf club relates to a specific swing.
In conclusion, all anyone has to do is visit a fitter and test several different profiles of shafts on the same head (easy these days with adapters) to understand that a golf shaft certainly impacts performance and feel of the entire golf club. As mentioned, Tour players are constantly testing different profiles of shafts to optimize launch, spin, ball speed, carry, angle of descent, etc. and there are many extremely different profiles being tested. Golfers of all levels have the same opportunity to test different head/shaft/grip combinations.
Mr. Wishon is a brilliant golf club designer and a great ambassador for club fitting, I think it is important to add a golf shaft manufacturer's perspective. Once we consider that Mr. Wishon is really referring (hope I have this correct!) to the large percentage of non core golfers with respect to these myths and I believe we basically agree that core golfers get far more benefit from golf shaft performance.
